Michael brings diverse experience to the practice of law. As a former elementary school teacher, he excels in clear communication and the simplification of complex concepts, ensuring that his clients are informed throughout the process, empowered to overcome their legal challenges. After graduating from the top-ranked University of Virginia School of Law, Michael worked as an associate in a large, national law firm, before opening Berdan Law, preferring to serve individuals and families rather than large corporations. Michael is fluent in Spanish, and is proud to serve clients in both languages.
Michael lives in Central Virginia with his wife, three boys, eight chickens, two donkeys, dog, and cat. Outside the law, he loves film, home improvement projects, traveling in the Balkan Peninsula, and his 1969 Volkswagen Beetle.
